2010 Sydney City to Surf

On a beautiful Sydney Sunday morning on the 8^th of August 2010 a contingent of over 45 NRA sponsored Navy runners tackled the world famous City to Surf .  The Navy Running Team performed very well and finished a credible 15^th in a field of over 70 teams.  A number of NRA members even finished under the elusive 60 minute time barrier.  But what was hard to measure was the good will and public exposure that particularly Navy enjoyed on the day with Navy members flying the flag for our service.  The new NRA T-shirts and singlets looked great and were distinctively Navy in tone.  Next year we hope to have even more NRA and wider Navy members participating in this iconic event.  The Navy Team may even be able to improve on this year’s great team result.  Happy running from Chaplain Max Walker.
